We report on the club activity of Chiba City which is carried out through the cooperation of three different organizations including two museums and one zoological park. Through 10 distinct programs closely related to the specialty of each, participants can enjoy this Club throughout the year. As our target, Club members successfully obtain information on animal life from diverse points of view, natural-scientific formats, natural-historic formats and often even artistic formats. The Club focuses on:

[1] involving members of several generations, from children 10 years old through senior citizens over 60, working together in a group;

[2] more than 10 volunteers regularly support the activity not only in administration but also in programs; and

[3] Club members are requested to make a summary of each program and a list of what they have learned from each. Through our programs, club members are asked to choose a topic freely for each program, and make a further study of that topic by themselves. At year-end, we have an annual assembly where members present a report on their selected topics.
