Surabaya Zoo

Wildlife park or zoo is a “living laboratory” and offers the potential for environmental education and the introduction of flora and fauna to the general public. Surabaya Zoo plays an active role in helping educational institutions utilizing existing facilities to know and learn about the importance of nature conservation and the environment. Programs are related to school curriculums such as the package “Let’s Study in the Zoo” which aims to assist schools during a visit to Surabaya Zoo.  Surabaya Zoo is an exciting experience for the general public and school children as a zoology museum by presenting a practical educational tool for studying about diversity, behavior, ecosystems and fauna in the world in the form of preserved animals or replicas. The aim is for visitors to become more familiar with the abundance of fauna around the world and to raise awareness and develop love for fauna and support of conservation efforts among the younger generations.

Finally, educational functions performed by the zoo are expected to raise knowledge and understanding about wildlife and plants. Regards sustainable
