Taipei Zoo

With the coming of Halloween, the Education Centre of Taipei Zoo decorates its long-term exhibition with the idea of environmental education, species protection, and conservation education to present the subject “Surviving is challenging for wildlife.” We demonstrate the intended effect using the frightening imagery of Halloween with the following elements: use of illegal traps, wildlife damage and harm, over-harvesting and hunting of wildlife, road kills, and environmental damage by littering. We would like to remind visitors that their own behavior affects the sustainability of wildlife and everyone needs to incorporate change individually in order to reduce the threats to wildlife. This exhibition was combined with the creativities of the staff of Taipei Zoo and the resources of local enterprises. Over the years, it is always a popular exhibition for visitors.
