24、Learning Activities of Buyeo National Museum in South Korea

Buyeo National Museum

 

Buyeo National Museum specializes in the history of the Baekje Kingdom. Its collection contains approximately 26,000 artifacts (1000 of which are on display) including three national and seven provincial treasures. As part of its educational program, the museum offers a wide range of engaging activities which illustrate the once flourishing culture of Baekje using highlights from its vast collection. The museum also seeks to interact with local communities through tailored programs and the development of cooperative systems.
This presentation aims to introduce some of the educational initiatives on offer at the museum:
- Schools: museum tours as well as historical and cultural activities for school groups
- About Baekje: lectures, workshops, and field studies with a focus on the Baekje Kingdom for all ages
- Family Weekend: weekend recreational activities for families
- Community Groups: community-oriented cultural programs for local residents
- Cultural Diversity: accessible activities designed to share traditional culture with multicultural, single-parent and low-income families as well as those with special needs
