8、Conservation of the Mitsusawa Forest

Yoichiro ASAYAMA

Kyushu Historical Museum

The Kyushu Historical Museum is adjacent to a forest. It is protected because of the ancient ruins in the forest. However, destruction of the environment is progressing.
So, along with an NPO related to environmental protection, it is carrying out activities to deepen understanding of this forest and ruins. This Year’s Activities Plan is...

[1] We check the names of the trees growing in the forest, and attach a name tag.
[2] We make figurines only on what is picked up in the forest.
[3] We make acorn cookies ancient people once ate.
[4] We make candles in the methods of the past.

These activities are performed along with the general public, including children.
