Every year, over 10,000 students from about 200 schools visit Japan Monkey Centre (JMC). Among them, some schools have developed, in collaboration with JMC, effective study materials based on the subjects in a school curriculum. However, such cases are not common. To improve not only educational "quality" but also "quantity", we planed to develop new pre-visit study materials, using successful cases for reference.
At first, we analyzed the present situation of pre-visit study by questionnaires for teachers who visited JMC with students. 2006-2013 results show that about 70 % of the teachers answered they "did" some pre-visit study. However, most of the "pre-visit studies" were superficial, such as "how to get JMC" or "how to spend the day in JMC ".
Second, since 2013 October we have added to the questionnaires a question about needs and ideas of pre-visit study materials.
In this presentation, we will discuss the detailed results of questionnaire analysis.
